STANDARD FIRST AID CPR/AED

STANDARD FIRST AID CPR/AED

 No pre-requisites required. This course includes covers all topics in the Emergency First aid but expands to include topics like burns, fractures, poisoning, head/neck trauma and additional medical situations. This 16 hour course is typically delivered over two days. CPR/AED is included

CPR & AED

STANDARD FIRST AID CPR/AED

STANDARD FIRST AID CPR/AED

 No pre-requisites required. This course focuses on CPR, airway, breathing and circulation emergencies. Covers infant, child and adult situations and includes automatic external defibrillator. 4-5 hours depending upon level of CPR/AED included.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID

 No pre-requisites required. This course includes CPR/AED with closer attention to scene management, medical situations and assisted medications, patient assessment and infection control. 7.5 hours course can be delivered over 2, 4 hour sessions.

 Real-world scenarios often call on children to respond to challenges. The Stay Safe! program teaches applicable and age-appropriate skills, while increasing and reinforcing a youth’s capacity to improve his or her own safety. Whether in their community or on their own, this group will be given better tools to Stay Safe! in a variety of different situations.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT

 The Babysitting course, refreshed and revised, now has a greater emphasis on First Aid skills. The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course covers everything from managing difficult behaviours to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Babysitting promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children. This updated curriculum, complete with new science, also provides improved learning when it comes to giving the appropriate care in the event of an emergency.

Designed specifically for those who require a higher level of first aid training this course uses a skills based approach. Perfect for volunteer fire, search and rescue or nurses. This course includes more advanced airway management, suction, oxygen use and additional CPR skills. 4-6 hours.

MARINE BASIC FIRST AID

MARINE BASIC FIRST AID

MARINE BASIC FIRST AID

No pre-requisites required.  Comprehensive two-day course designed to meet the needs of those expected to provide first aid in a marine environment. Course uses a combination of lecture, discussion, and scenarios taken from the marine/fishing industry to teach the required knowledge and skills.  Course meets the requirements of Transport Canada outlined in Transport Publication (TP) 13008 E.  This 16 hour course is delivered over two days in person. CPR/AED is included.
